Children’s Classes – Arts in Action at Lake Avenue Elementary School
Johnny and Diane are a part of the Arts in Action Program at Lake Avenue School. They just finished a six week session. They offer classes in Swing/Salsa and Acting.
Dance Class –Diane and Johnny teach an afterschool Swing and Salsa class at the Lake Avenue Elementary School on Wednesday. They divide the class up into two levels based on age and experience. The class is from 3:30 to 4:15 for the six week course. This is the third year of the program and the children in the program have appeared in two Lake Avenue Drama Club productions and two appearances with Tango Fusion Dance Company.
Drama Class– Johnny will be teaching an Acting Class at Lake Avenue Elementary School on Thursdays. Students will have the opportunity to do scenes from a play and learn the techniques they will use on an audition. The class is offered to grades 2nd through 5th. Classes are from 3:30 to 4:15 on Thursday. The cost is $60 for the six week session. Johnny has directed for the Adirondack Community College, the Adirondack Children's Theater and the Schenectady Theater for Children as well as appearing in National and European tours.
Upcoming Sessions– The next session will start in late January and go for 6 weeks. It will focus on performing a ballroom routine for the Lake Avenue Drama Club's show the weekend of March 23rd and 24th. Following the winter session, there will be a Spring Session starting in April. Dates to be announced.
